Why Local Concrete Gets Dirty So Fast

Georgia humidity, spring pollen, red clay, shaded concrete, irrigation runoff, storm wash, tire marks, and everyday traffic all show up on exterior hard surfaces. Left alone, that buildup makes driveways look darker, walkways feel slicker, and front entrances look less cared for than the rest of the property.

Professional pressure washing from Clean Defense Force is built around the surface, not just the machine. Concrete, brick, patios, walkways, and garage aprons can usually handle controlled pressure. Siding, paint, trim, roofs, and delicate areas normally need soft washing instead. Many customers call the whole service power washing, but the real skill is knowing where pressure belongs and where it does not.

Our Pressure Washing Process for Hard Surfaces

Every pressure washing job starts with a look at the surface, age, slope, drainage, staining, surrounding landscaping, and nearby materials. We identify areas that need special attention and choose the right combination of pressure, pre-treatment, rinse process, and post-treatment for the surface.

On most dirty concrete cleanings, we pre-treat to help loosen algae, red clay, tire marks, pollen film, and organic buildup before cleaning. Then we use professional equipment in consistent passes for a more even finish. When a driveway, sidewalk, or patio is dirty from construction traffic, storm runoff, or Georgia red clay, we stay focused on exterior concrete and hard-surface cleanup instead of pretending to provide interior construction cleaning.

Austin did a fantastic job! He pressure washed my driveway, sidewalks, tops of the stacked stone flowerbeds, two wood privacy fence panels, stone steps, deck, deck chairs and brick/tile. He even checked out a possibly clogged underground pipe that drains the downspouts to my side yard (luckily, turns out it wasn't clogged and the water went right through). Will definitely use Clean Defense Force again. Thank you!

Common questions

Pressure Washing Questions

Straight answers about pressure washing, estimates, and what to expect.

Most residential hard-surface pressure washing jobs in our service area range from $150 to $500 depending on surface size, condition, access, red clay, algae, tire marks, and whether patios, sidewalks, walkways, or pool deck concrete are included. Siding and full home exterior cleaning are normally quoted as house washing or soft washing because those surfaces should not be blasted with high pressure.

Our pressure washing and power washing focus on exterior hard surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, walkways, patios, pool decks, concrete pads, brick steps, garage aprons, parking pads, and other surfaces that are a safe fit for professional pressure washing.

If you are in or near Winder, Bethlehem, Auburn, Statham, Hoschton, Braselton, or Jefferson, yes. Send the property address and the surfaces you want cleaned, and we will confirm whether the project is inside our practical service area.

Request pressure washing for hard surfaces like concrete, brick, patios, sidewalks, driveways, garage aprons, and pool deck concrete. Request house washing when the siding, soffits, fascia, trim, porch ceiling, or entry areas need a low-pressure soft wash.

Pressure washing can usually make red clay, algae, pollen film, tire marks, and weathered concrete buildup look much better. Some stains bond deeply into porous concrete, so we set expectations clearly before promising a perfect result.

Often, yes. Many driveway, sidewalk, patio, and pool deck cleanings benefit from pre-treatment before washing and post-treatment after rinsing. The exact process depends on the concrete condition, organic growth, drainage, nearby landscaping, and the type of buildup.

Professional pressure washing should match the method to the surface. Concrete and many hard surfaces can usually handle controlled pressure. Siding, soffits, painted trim, roofs, and delicate exterior materials are normally better handled with soft washing or a separate specialty service.
